Alhamdulillah you admitted Dr.Faathil may Allah bless him more, actually did made mistakes, that's the first thing majority of his students are not accepting,rather looking for excuses, then i think he should be refuted openly with gentleness since the error was also spread, and please dont let love blind us from saying it's wrong to refute his mistakes (not you) , so those who are to the extreme in refuting him and those also defending his errors should be cautioned . barokallohu feekum sheikh.
My response:
That he made a mistake, in the present issue, is an assumption, brother.
I only admitted that he could make mistakes, and that when he does so should you treat his errors like those people (Mudeer Agege and Mufti Tableegh)?
To now address the particular issue of 'not calling whoever you find in a masjid' a kaafir. The statement from the noble Shaykh should not have been misconstrued the way you people are doing except if your Ogas had been laying in ambush for him as the Pristine Boys used to do.
He said youngsters shouid not get themsleves involved in matters that are beyond their level. Matters such as takfeer and tabdee. He said like saying someone who comes to the masjid has become kaafir or someone who labours in the cause of the Sunnah day and night has become mubtadi.
If a good heart hears that, he will understand that the Dr is only trying to caution the youths from hastiness in takfeer and tabdee.
Yes one has to be careful in rushing to declare a Muslim who comes to the masjid as a kaafir until one is very very sure that he has indeed committed Shirk or kufr Akbar.
If the Dr has said 'a person that comes to masjid cannot become a kaafir' then that would be a clear error. But he didn't say that.
So we really need to be patient.
Me and you know that Dr can never say that an Egungun person who comes to masjid can not be called a kaafir. We know nau. Why are we like this? Let's be just. I know that since Dr released that Jabata Phase Two Tag won ti daran lọ́wọ́ yín. Shebi you said you are not (Jabata Phase II) but why are you laying ambush for him?
That is Tanimola praising Onimajesin and others in his Èṣi Ọ̀rọ̀, none of you did Ilzaam on him.
Ejigbo lied the other time on the issue of Shibhu Ijmaa, you all looked on.
Abu Nabeel, that denied Abu Naasir as his teacher even after sitting before him for two whole years, lied against Shaykh Al-Albaani on Ilzaam the other time, you all kept quiet.
