Translation: Ishaaq bn AbdirRaheem Aboo Aamir
Bismillaah-ir-Rahmaan-ir-Raheem
Shaqeeq narrated from the Messenger of Allaah - sallaallahu alahyi wá sallam - that he said:
" أكثر خطايا ابن آدم ÙÙŠ لسانه " .
‘The bulk of the sins of Son of Aadam is from his tongue.’
Recorded by at-Tabaraanee, Aboo Ash-Shaykh in his ‘Ahadith’ and Ibn Asaakir in a chain back to Shaqeeq that he said the Talbiyyah at Safaa then he said:
يا لسان قل خيرا تغنم اسكت تسلم من قبل أن تندم
‘O tongue! Say what is good you will attain goodness; remain silent, you will be safe before you become regretful.’
Ash-Shaykh Al-Albaanee [rahimahuLlaah] said: ‘This chain is good and it is upon the condition of Muslim…’
