Aboo Hurairah - radiyallaahu anhu - reported that the Messenger of Allaah - sallaallahu alahyi wá sallam - said:
يهلك الناس هذا الحي من قريش.
'This section of the Quraysh shall destroy the people.'
The Companions said:
فما تامرنا؟
What do you command us to do about them?
He said:
لولا الناس اعتزلوهم.
'If the people can forsake them.'
