Translation: Ishaaq bn AbdirRaheem Aboo Aamir
On the authority of Anas bn Mâlik – may Allâh be pleased with him – who said, 'We were forbidden from asking things from the Messenger of Allâh  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam – ; thus we used to like it that an intelligent person would come from the village and ask him (about something) while we listened.
Thus, a man came from the village and said: 'O Muhammad, your messenger came to us who claimed to us that you claim that Allâh sent you.' The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  replied, 'He spoke the truth.'
The man said, 'Who created the sky?' He  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  replied, 'Allâh.' The man went ahead, 'Who then created the earth?' He  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  replied, 'Allâh.'
The man said, 'Who placed these mountains and made them contain what they contain?' The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  said, 'Allâh.'
The man said, 'I swear by He Who created the sky and the earth and placed these mountains; did Allâh send you?'
The man went ahead, 'Your messenger also claimed that there are five obligatory prayers over us day and night.' The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  replied, 'He spoke the truth.'
The villager said, 'I swear by He Who has sent you; did Allâh command you of these?' The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  said, 'Yes.'
The villager said: 'Your messenger also claimed that Zakâh is obligatory upon us from our wealth.' He  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  replied, 'He spoke the truth.'
The villager said, 'I swear by He Who has sent you; did Allâh command you of this?' the Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  said, 'Yes.'
The villager still said,' Your messenger also claimed that upon us is fasting in the month of Ramadan in our year.' He  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  replied, 'He spoke the truth.'
The villager said, 'I swear by He Who has sent you; did Allâh command you of this?' The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  said, 'Yes.' The man said, 'Your messenger also claimed that upon us pilgrimage to the House for whoever has a means thereof."
The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  said, 'He spoke the truth.' The man turned to leave and said, 'By He Who has sent you with the truth, I shall not exceed those neither will I do less.'
The Prophet  – Sallallâhu alayhi wa sallam –  said, 'If he speaks the truth, he will certainly enter the Jannah.'
[Muslim recorded it in his Sahîh in the Book of Faith, Chapter of Asking about the Pillars of Islam (38)]
